UCLArts and Healing Launches Social Emotional Arts (SEA) Certificate Program
SEA will empower educators & community arts professionals in maximizing social-emotional benefits of the arts. Training will be interactive & experiential, & will feature creative approaches to group behavior management, verbal & nonverbal communication, managing special needs, identifying & responding to trauma, personal presentation, & program evaluation. beat the odds facilitator training: social & emotional skill building delivered in a framework of drumming
Beat the Odds integrates activities from contemporary drum circles & group counseling to teach skills such as focus and listening, team building, leadership, expressing feelings, managing anger/stress, empathy, & gratitude.
