Moving the Body for Healthy Living,  Creative Movement

803 Physical Education 0.6 CEU $120/$130

Understanding the basic principles and rules of human anatomy helps you make powerful changes that lead to greater wellness. If you stand, sit, walk, lie down, turn, twist, and reach in a mindful way, you are doing your body a big favor and avoiding painful consequences than can affect your health, finances, and even happiness. As health practitioners, it is our responsibility to help clients in ways that impact all aspects of life.  Using methods invented by pioneers of modern dance and rhythmic gymnastics as well as early health educators, Eva Nemeth’s dynamic teaching approach focuses on increasing body awareness, learning how to physically move your body, and carrying this knowledge into
daily life. Participants learn the elements upon which human movement patterns are designed, including the importance of “neutral,” in which all parts of the body are at “home,” and to experience transformational
movement patterns. Elective (1/4 credit) course in Certificate Program in Fitness Instruction. Advance enrollment required; no enrollment at the door.
