Ping Ho, M.A., M.P.H. is Founder and Director of UCLArts and Healing, and Director of Educational Outreach for the UCLA Pediatric Pain Program. She was the founding administrative analyst for both the UCLA Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine and the UCLA Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI). In the latter role, she had the privilege of writing for Norman Cousins and co-writing the professional autobiography of George F. Solomon, M.D., founder of the field of PNI. Ping began her academic and professional journey at Stanford University, where she received a B.A. in psychology, coordinated research on exercise and lipoproteins, and was appointed to start up the Health Improvement Program for faculty and staff. She has an M.A. in counseling psychology with specialization in exercise physiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has an extensive background as a health educator, exercise specialist in private practice, and performing artist. Ping recently completed graduate work in the UCLA School of Public Health in the Department of Community Health Sciences. She is currently developing experiential education programs and research to facilitate the use of arts-based tools for mind-body healing as a vehicle for community empowerment and transformation.
